Works Carried Out To A Property On Ranscombe Road, Brixham
Conservation repairs to the steps of a listed property on Ranscombe Road, Brixham.
In this project we carried out dismantling and resetting of all the steps to the rear garden and lime rendering to the risers of all the steps. Dismantling of two of the steps two of the front steps, including flagstone installation and lime rendering of the risers.
Rear Garden
Dismantling was carried out to all of the steps and due to every step falling in a different direction and being different heights. Flagstones were installed to the larger steps and lime rendering was carried out to all the risers.
Front Steps
Partial dismantling was carried out to two of the treads due to the treads breaking away from their mortar bed. The landing leading up to the property was covered in concrete after we excavated the concrete Delabole slate was installed to match the colour as close as possible to the existing.
Vegetation was present in the risers of all the steps, so this was removed and all riser repointed and subsequently rendered with a lime mortar.
