 Testimonial

'Thank you for the restoration work you carried out on my Chimney and walls. I appreciated your itemised quote and professional advice that I was able to accompany my planning application.

Your work is excellent, and I am very pleased with both the resolving of damp issues and the look of the stonework. I would definitely recommend you for future projects.'

Gable End Adjacent To The Arch

Cement strap pointing was carried out to the gable end some time ago. Some minor cracks were present between the ground floor and first floor windows.

Removal of the cement pointing to a depth of forty mm and repointed with an NHL 3.5 and red sand mix. Was carried out including some helixing to the panel above the ground floor window along with some minor pinning to the sills and mullion.

Chimney Repair

As with the gable end the chimney was also pointed in a cement mortar due to the exposed location of the chimney this caused further deterioration to some of the soft sandstone quoins. Some minor vegetation was also present in the rear of the chimney.

Removal of all the cement pointing was carried out and repointed with a red sand and NHL 5 mix after all the indenting was carried out. The deteriorated stone was replaced with a matching stone and fixed into place by indenting rather than replacing the whole block.
